     Stephan Dearmon enlisted in the Marine Corp in August of 2007.  In April of 2008, he was assigned as a Combat Photographer with Headquarters/Service Company 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force.  In April of 2009 he was in Iraq in the Anbar Province. On Friday, April 3rd while on deployment in Al Taqaddum, he was killed. He was a native of Crossville, Tn. He had attended Cumberland County High School. While in the Marines he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and also the Iraq Campaign Medal.

     His funeral processional was led by the Patriot Guard Riders of Tennessee and was accompanied by the Knoxville Police Department to the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery where military honors were performed by Delta Company 4th CEB of the United States Marine Corps and he was laid to rest.The U.S. Marines gave him a 21 gun salute and taps was played.
