This is my grandfather, Claude B. Hankins Sr. He was in the Army in World War I.  This photo was taken in 1917. He was 26 years old. He served as a Telegrapher with the 32nd Red Arrow Division, 125th Headquarters Company from the State of Michigan. When he enlisted, he enlisted in the Michigan National Guard but when he arrived at Camp McArthur, Texas the Guard became the 32nd Red Arrow. He saw service in the Osie-Asine, Asine Marne and the Defensive Sector 1917-1918 in France and the Rhineland and Central Europe.
